Reading articles about makeup artists that had helped change women's lives, and also just playing in the makeup aisles at the drugstore. As I started doing makeup on friends and family, I was amazed to see how much fun it was making women feel wonderful about themselves with just a little bit of makeup.
Skin Foundation Stick. It is the most versatile of all foundations. It looks beautiful on all skin types and continues to be Bobbi's go-to formula for editorial makeup, fashion week, and TV. I also love Black Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner—it's like the little black dress of every woman's makeup kit. There's always going to be an occasion when black liner is necessary and it adds drama to any style of eye makeup.
As a Fine Arts student, my interests in art and how it was conveyed on the face grew over time, and that's when I knew I wanted to be a makeup artist.
Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick. It's a multi-use product for cheeks, eyes, decollate area and legs, and it looks beautiful on any skin tone. It instantly adds lift and a shimmery glow.
I've worked with JLo, Britney Spears, Sarah Jessica Parker, Melanie Griffith, Antonio Banderas, Rihanna, Paulina Rubio and Kelly Rowland.
WHAT INSPIRED HIM TO WORK IN MAKEUP
My inspiration has always been my mother, who I saw everyday made up and perfectly done. Seeing her in bright and bold colors made me smile. As I child, I was active in theater and dance, and loved the way makeup could transform you into a specific character. I love how makeup can empower a woman and give her confidence.
I cannot live without Black Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner. Everyone should have this in her makeup bag. No matter what intensity the line needs to be, this classic liner creates the perfect contrast and definition to make your eyes stand out.
I got to work on Eve's music video "She Bad Bad", Swizz Beatz' video (featuring Eve) "Coolin'", in the Oscars Celebrity Makeup Suite and on the Billboard Music Awards—all really fun and rewarding experiences.
WHAT INSPIRED HER TO WORK IN MAKEUP
I love the art behind makeup. I loved to paint and draw. When an opportunity came to work in cosmetics, I thought, "This will be fun—like painting on a 3D canvas."
Skin Foundation Stick. This is a great product because it can be used as foundation, concealer and for touch ups throughout the day. Skin Foundation Stick is very versatile and can take you from sheer to full coverage.
I assisted Bobbi at the Inauguration of Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden, and had the chance to work directly with Dr. Jill Biden.
WHAT INSPIRED HER TO WORK IN MAKEUP
Growing up, I was always intrigued by women who looked pulled-together, and I often wondered what their secrets were. So when I got to college, I decided to enroll in a makeup artistry program and find out for myself. When I discovered the power of makeup and how it can change how a woman looks and feels, that's when I knew I'd found my calling.
